The Promised Neverland has been one of the anime of the year so far, and as we head close to the end, it’s time we start talking about the next season. Produced by Clover Works, The Promised Neverland’s production has been one of the reasons why the anime has been consistently so good.
So, as we head closer to the next season, it is a given that the production of the second season of the show will be given ample time. In this post, we’ll be talking about The Promised Neverland Season 2. Before we begin, I want to let you all know that this post contains official spoilers from the next arc of the anime itself. There is stuff that you probably wouldn’t want to know if you don’t like spoilers. If you hate being spoiled, I suggest that you stop reading the post here. However, if spoilers don’t bother you, we can get started.
So, when exactly is the second season heading our way? Having said that the production is one of the key aspects in maintaining the quality of the show, it is easy to guess that the Promised Neverland won’t be back this year. So, when will we get to see it? An official announcement has just been made, and it has been announced that The Promised Neverland Season 2 will air in 2020.
When exactly it’ll air is unknown, but we do know that it’ll happen likely in the first half of 2020. I expect the next season to have 12 episodes as well. I don’t think Clover Works will be pushing for a two cour anime. Maybe we’ll get split cour, but I think 12 episodes will be adequate. As far as the plot goes, the next season will cover the second arc, which focuses on Emma and the others outside the Farm and trying to get to the guy who wrote the book to them.
