KonoSuba is easily one of my favorite anime ever, and just like me, lots of you are waiting for the announcement of the next season of the show. It’s been quite some time since the last season aired, and some fans have left all hope behind. However, that’s probably not a wise thing to do, because KonoSuba Season 3 is going to happen, eventually.
That’s exactly what we’ll be talking about in this post, so let’s get started. Before we begin, I want to let you all know that this post contains a lot of spoilers from KonoSuba’s previous seasons. There is the stuff that you probably wouldn’t want to know if you don’t like spoilers. If you hate being spoiled, I suggest that you stop reading the post here. However, if spoilers don’t bother you, we can get started.
So, is KonoSuba Season 3 happening? It definitely is. It may take some time to come out, but a cancelation is out of the question. Jun Fukushima and Rie Takahashi recently confirmed a new project in an interview. Whether this is the next season, a movie or an OVA is unknown. However, what we do know is that there is going to be more of KonoSuba.
When the second season ended, we did get a message that said KonoSuba would return in the future, and that’s as clear as it gets. As to when we’ll get KonoSuba Season 3, I can’t say anything, other than a guess. My guess is that KonoSuba Season 3 will be set for a Winter 2020 release. Of course, that’s just my opinion, based on a few hints. When we do get more information on the next season, we’ll let you know.
Update May 2019
Konosuba’s new movie is already closing in on us, and for those of you who don’t know, it’ll be out in Japan on August 30, 2019. The movie is going to be the next big thing in the franchise, and I hope you all are ready for some more action from Kazuma and the gang. At the same time, work on the next season of Konosuba should be underway soon enough.
In my opinion, the show will return in the first few months of 2020. I expect an April 2020 update. Hopefully, I’m not wrong about this. When do you guys think Konosuba Season 3 will come out? Let me know your thoughts in the comments section below!
