A brand new work from the creators of Fairy Tail, Edens Zero manga’s adaptation has finally got more updates on when it could hit the screens. The manga was serialized quickly after the end of Fairy Tail. And with more fans still thirsty for some action from Hiro Mashima, the announcement of the adaptation of Eden’s Zero manga was quite good news to come across.
The anime is reported to be under J.C Staff production and according to Animenewsnetwork, the adaptation was announced on a Tokyo Game Show live stream where the staff for the upcoming anime adaptation where announced. The anime will be broadcasted in Japan on NTV and all of its affiliates and Shinji Ishira who previously worked on Fairy Tail and Log Horizon will be the chief director of the project.
Edens Zero will be released in April 2021, for now, no further details have been officially confirmed by the anime production team. So we will be getting more updates in due time as the update nears. More on the promotional side of the anime, promotional art, and new character designs were revealed including the synopsis of the series which Kodansha Comics described as:
At the Granbell Kingdom, an abandoned amusement park, Shiki has lived his entire life among machines. But one day, Rebecca and her cat companion Happy appear at the park’s front gates. Little do these newcomers know that this is the first human contact Granbell has had in a hundred years! As Shiki stumbles his way into making new friends, his former neighbors stir at an opportunity for a robo-rebellion… And when his old homeland becomes too dangerous, Shiki must join Rebecca and Happy on their spaceship and escape into the boundless cosmos.
Crunchyroll had announced the news of Edens Zero adaptation earlier this year but did not disclose whether they will be streaming the series or nor. So for now the officially streaming platform announced is NTV and its affiliates. The initially revealed art for the anime was officially revealed by Hiro Mashima on a twitter post.
