Cats Trailer Scares The Audience: Are They Legitimately Terrifying Human Faces?

Cats (2019)

This Christmas, the Universal Pictures is releasing Cats to MEOW! in Cinemas on December 20. Nevertheless, the two initial trailers have earned a very poor social feedback as people have seemed stated on the trailer as “a legitimately terrifying” and as “nightmarish human faces.”

On YouTube, Cats first trailer got 138K dislikes, where the actual likes were hardly up to 51K. Therefore, it looks like the movie is in a great loss.

While the song “Beautiful Ghosts” from the film has been nominated for a Golden Globe, the production team is still having trouble with technical problems and practical costumes. In this case, they have realized that the CGI tech would have been the best choice to transform actors into real looking cats.

However, Cats producers Eric Fellner and Tim Bevan are working on CGI of the film day and night to fix everything before they give Cats a green signal for the release before Christmas. Thus, all-star felines will look different than how they looked in their early trailers.

Story & Star Cast:

The movie tells a story of Jellicles (a tribe of cats) in which the cats make the “Jellicle choice” where they decide which cat will ascend to the Heaviside Layer and come back to a new life in a single night.

The film Cats is an adaptation of “Cats musical” by Andrew Lloyd Webber, which is based on the 1939 poetry collection, Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats, by T. S. Eliot. The movie is directed by Tom Hooper and produced by Tim Bevan, Debra Hayward, and Eric Fellner.

An all-star cast —James Corden, Taylor Swift, Dame Judi Dench, Jason Derulo, Ian McKellen, Francesca Hayward, Idris Elba, Jennifer Hudson, and Rebel Wilson are felines friends of CATS.
