It was recently announced that 2020 Subaru Outback would make its debut next week at New York auto show. There was also a teaser photo which showed us how beautiful this car really is. In that photo, it is colored in green paint and has black plastic body cladding as well as redesigned wheels. One of the most amazing changes in the new Outback is its brand new underpinnings because of this it will have sharper handling, improved refinement, and rigidity.
Turbocharged Outback will also return to the lineup which will be replacing the of six-cylinder Legacy 3.6R. It will be called as Outback XT which will use the same turbocharged 260-hp 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that was first introduced in the Ascent SUV.
The base engine will be a 2.5-liter four-cylinder that produces 182 horsepower and all-wheel drive, and a continuously variable automatic transmission will be for all the standard models.
Moreover, it will have extra ground clearance, additional body cladding, and far more cargo space thanks to its wagon silhouette. Inside will be a giant new touchscreen measuring 11.6 inches. Its update hasn’t been confirmed yet, but it arrives in showrooms sometime near the end of 2019.
