Ever since the fourth season of Sherlock aired, fans have been craving for a continuation. Even though we were clearly told that Sherlock Season 5 won’t happen for now, and the chances are that it’ll never happen again, nobody seems to take their word for it.
What we know is that there is still a chance that Sherlock could return in the future, and there have been several hints dropped that lead to the fans thinking it. We’ll be discussing Sherlock’s return in this post, down below. So, let’s get started.

Time and again, we’ve been told that getting the cast together for Sherlock has always been the most significant problem because they’re usually busy with other projects. However, now that Moffat is no longer working on Doctor Who, and Doctor Strange was killed off, we think that the two might have some time on their hands and they could return to do Sherlock Season 5.
What’s more, Chris Georgiou, who is the owner of Speedy’s Cafe recently hinted that the show could well be on the verge of returning. He said, “I probably shouldn’t be saying this, but I’ve heard they’ll be coming back for a fifth season.”
Gatiss called this “utter nonsense,” but he wouldn’t want the announcement to come through a leak, would he now?
So the question of a update pops up now, and we think that the show isn’t close to a release yet. If Sherlock does come back, we expect it happen in late 2020 or 2021. That’s our guess on when it could return since we don’t have any official confirmation that the show is even going to return in the first place.
