Big Little Lies Season 2 is going to be back in 2019 for its widely demanded Season 2. Big Little Lies is on HBO’s widely demanded 2019 show list and has had tremendous success with Season 1. The star cast of the show is nothing short of magic, Reese Witherspoon, Shailene Woodley, Nicole Kidman and more. And if the stellar cast of Season 1 wasn’t enough, Season 2 has a golden addition, Meryl Streep. Big Little Lies Season 1 came out in spring of 2017 and was never supposed to be back for a second run. The original idea with Big Little Lies was that it was going to be a limited series TV show. But that’s not how things worked out for the show, and eventually, we ended up getting a second run. The official announcement tweet is linked below!

Season 2 of Big Little Lies will be based in Monterey, California and boasts of A-listers such as Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Shailene Woodley as leads. Celeste Wright’s (Nicole Kidman) husband Perry (Alexander Skarsgard) died at the end of Season 2 and so he won’t be back this time. He was convicted of sexually abusing a young single mother Jane Chapman, played by Shailene Woodley. Reese Witherspoon plays the Madeline Martha, and quite frankly she’s the life of the show.
The rest of the cast includes Zoe Kravitz as Madeline’s (Rese Witherspoon) ex-husband’s new wife, Bonnie. And finally Laura Dern plays a wealthy lawyer Renata Klein. The supporting cast includes Kathryn Newton as Abigail Carlson and Crystal Fox as Elizabeth Howard. We now have a new director Andrea Arnold, who replaced Jean-Marc Vallée! Jean-Marc did not want to have a second season in fear of spoiling something beautiful, but the producers wanted it, and they replaced the director!
Nicole Kidman dished on the premiere date of Season 2 recently to Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen on New Year’s Eve Live. Big Little Lies hasn’t announced afor Season 2 as of now. But Nicole Kidman the actress who plays Celeste Wright has mentioned that the show might be back in June of 2019. She thinks it’s going to be June according to her.
Season 2 of Big Little Lies is to entirely focus on Perry’s mother trying to find out what happened to her son. It is directed by Andrea Arnold. Season 1 is based upon a novel of the same name by Liane Moriarty and Season 2 was written by David E Kelley. It has seven whole episodes. The second season is supposed to premiere in June of 2019! It makes everyone even more excited as we are just a few months away, although it is still too much to wait.
Unfortunately, we do not have a trailer for Season 2 of Big Little Lies but will be sure to post it once we have it.
