The sixth season of The 100 finished airing in August 2019. With the sixth season over, the fans have been left wanting to know what is going to happen to the story after the sixth season. Last year, Mark Pedowitz, The CW boss, said that executive producer Jason Rothenberg had ideas for a sixth and seventh season.
He said that he knew that Jason has a plan that goes beyond year five. He also added that it was too early to have that discussion. Pedowitz admitted that he was unsure whether he was allowed to go tell people that Jason has a plan beyond season five.
Jason himself admitted, “When I said that a couple of years ago, I had this idea for how I wanted the show to end.” He also added, “Those decisions are not really mine. I don’t think that this is a show that runs for 10 seasons. But I love these characters and this world so much that it’s fresh for me every year.”
The seventh season of the show was officially renewed for a seventh season in August. The seventh season will come out in 2020. We don’t know exactly when the seventh season will be released but, we can expect a late 2020 release.
The main cast of the series is expected to return for the seventh season. Eliza Taylor will return to The 100 season seven as lead Clarke Griffin. The other cast members include— Marie Avgeropoulos as Octavia Blake, Bob Morley as Bellamy Blake, Christopher Larkin as Monty Green and Lindsey Morgan as Raven Reyes. There is also a huge list of guest stars that are gonna join.
