The very first footage from David Fincher’s Mindhunter, Season 2 just dropped. The serial killer based crime-drama was a long-awaited one; it is executive produced by David Fincher. Fincher is from the famous “Seven” and “Zodiac.” Jonathan Groff and Holt McCallany team up as FBI agents in the Behavioral Science Unit, who do interviews with notorious serial killers so to solve ongoing cases.
Mindhunter Season 1 was a breakout hit in October 2017. Second Season debuts nearly two years later. The fresh batch of episodes for Mindhunter Season 2 covers the Atlanta child murders, the series of killings from the years 1979 and 1981. For the purposes of cracking the case of Atlanta child murders, Groff and McCallany’s FBI agents resort to the hall of Famer serial killers – Charles Manson and Son of Sam.

Much to our relief, the first trailer also confirms the presence of fan-favorite coed killer Ed Kemper, played by Cameron Britton. He can be heard talking about the serial killer saying that the killer has an overwhelming fantasy life, fantasies of what he’s done and what he wants to do. When Kemper is asked if the duo can catch the serial killer, Kemper responds by saying, if he’s any good, you cannot.
Fincher had detailed in on Season 2 of Mindhunter by saying that the timeline takes place during the time when serial killers were cultural figures and talk of the nation.
Mindhunter Season 2 debuts on August 16 on Netflix.
