Ever since Yashahime has started airing, several new characters have been introduced, each one stronger than the other, but the old characters from the original ‘Inuyasha’ still stand undefeated. Since the show is set with the next generation, the spectators usually watch it for the sake of nostalgia. Although the fans have complained about the lack of plot development and overuse of the third class villains from the parent anime, it seems like things will finally take a turn. In the recent episodes of Yashahime, the makers have focused on Setsuna, Moroha, and Towa’s past and brought the first significant villain of the anime, Kirinmaru.
So let us look at the show’s powerful characters, including the newly-introduced ones and the older ones.
10. Konton
Although the Four Perils who have been working under Kirinmaru is not much of a use, Konton has somehow managed to impress the spectators because of his own skills. He can use magic spells that let him summon flames and travel long distances and utilize his Shikigami magic to create beings to battle in place of him and track his opponents.
However, he does not possess enough attacking power, other than using his magic spells and destructive arrays. However, his impenetrable armor, which has been created with a part of Meioju’s shell, aids in making him powerful. It would be interesting how he will deal with the three princesses, now that it has been taken away.
9. Moroha
Being Inuyasha and Kagome’s daughter, Moroha is a quarter-demon, making her demonic power a little frailer than half-demons, like Towa and Setsuna, as well as pure-blooded demons. However, her spiritual powers are enough to make it up. She has inherited the physical powers and intensified stamina from Inuyasha and his demonic powers like Hijinx Kesso and Sankon Tesso, along with his skillful sword using abilities. Moreover, she has got the spiritual powers of Kagome, which lets her infuse her shafts with refining energy, making her the only demon possessing such power.
Moroha takes up the image of Beniyasha after the application of Izayoi’s rouge, letting her access the powers of her demonic heritage completely for some period of time. She also gets access to Red Rainbow Jewel’s powers, which she had stolen away from one of the Perils.
8. Setsuna
Sesshomaru and Rin’s daughter, Setsuna, is a powerful half-demon, making her a little weaker than a pure-blooded demon, bears exceptional strength. Setsuna owns a Gold Rainbow Jewel just like her sister, to enhance her power. At a very tender age, she was made acquainted with the world’s cruel realities, aiding in making her an experienced demon killer. This makes her physical abilities and control over the demonic powers way very filtered, and best among the other princesses probably. She was able to resist the Mistress Three-Eyes, empowered with the Rainbow Pearl, single-handedly. Moreover, she has tremendous demonic power from Sesshomaru and his Dokkaso, which can be activated in her full-yokai appearance.
She has also inherited a powerful physique and his resistance to venom. She excels in using a naginata as a weapon that lets her create huge wind cyclones and cause critical damage. On the other hand, Setsuna can change herself into a full-fledged demon, which increases her strength drastically. Although Miroku has sealed this form of hers with his power, she can use it anytime once she learns to control it due to her inability to control it.
7. Kagome Higurashi
Being the modern-day resurrection of Kikyo, Kagome Higurashi has got a massive aggregate of latent power, making her powerful in her own right, capable enough to team up with Inuyasha while battling. She had almost wiped out Naraku after beginning to control her latent powers.
She is one of the most powerful priestesses in Yashahime, owing to her healing and shooting abilities, along with her raw spiritual strength. However, it is still unknown if she retains those powers after being in Toga’s graveyard for fifteen years.
6. Towa Higurashi
The other daughter of Sesshomaru and Rin, Towa Higurashi, is the story’s main protagonist, a half-demon. Since she was sent to the modern universe, she could not use her demonic powers and relied only on her physical powers, which made her a little less competent than Setsuna, her twin sister, and her cousin, Moroha. Nevertheless, she made quick progress after spending time in combating demons, which made her exceptionally strong.
Being the daughter of Sesshomaru, she has gained some massive demonic powers, along with miasma resistance, Soryuha, the power to absorb demonic energy, and then utilizing it herself, aiding her to fight powerful demons. She had earlier landed a powerful blow on Mistress Three-Eyes, with her amplified strength due to the two Rainbow Pearls. She even battled against her sister with hardly any experience with demonic powers. Although she has been ranked as number six on the list, she is expected to surpass many with the series’s progress.
5. Riku
One of the most cryptic characters of Yashahime, Riku reminds us of the demon living inside the Shikon Jewel. Although he was first introduced as a pirate who his master has abandoned, Riku turned out to be very powerful, who, with a flick of his earring (the blue jewel), could control everything, starting from creating gold to manipulating water.
It was also mentioned once that Riku could kill the Four Perils easily if he desired. Some of the theories state that he is Kirinmaru’s half-demon son, which makes his influence far more than what we can imagine. In the future, we can expect him to turn out to be the real antagonist, just like Shikon Jewel Demon, who had been hidden behind the scene all these times.
4. Zero
Although we have not witnessed much of Zero’s strength, since it is just recently that she has been introduced in Yashahime, we can imagine her powers to be exceptionally good, being the half-sister of Kirinmaru. From what has been shown so far, Zero can make paper dolls and use them as clones, which has let her confront Sesshomaru with no fear.
She also seems to possess a spider’s capabilities, and something similar to a butterfly, and the way other demons treat her, she cannot be anyone weak. We can expect to witness more of her powers in the future since there is a possibility of her turning into an antagonist.
3. Inuyasha
Despite not looking good enough, Inuyasha is one of the most powerful characters in Yashahime, without any doubt. He is the protagonist of the parent anime, ‘Inuyasha’ and Moroha’s father in Yashahime, whose strength is important in the series. He is the son of a strong Dog Demon, which provides him with loads of demonic powers. He possesses a great sense of sight, smell, hearing, and even the ability to heal really fast.
He can wield and unleash Bakuryuha, Meido Zangetsuha, and Kongosoha with the help of his father’s Tessaiga. He had defeated all of his opponents by the end of his series and kept growing stronger.
2. Sesshomaru
Similar in his strength to Kirinmaru, Sesshomaru is a pure-blooded demon who is more powerful than most of the other demons in leaps and bounds, with only a handful of them to be able to oppose him. He was the only demon in the original ‘Inuyasha’ anime to not crave Shikon Jewel’s powers. What held him back had been his obsession with the powers of his father and the Tessaiga. Still, he was able to restore his arm and manifest the sword, Bakusaiga, with his own powers, after letting go of his obsession.
There is a huge possibility that Sesshomaru will turn villainous in the future because of recent episodes’ events. If that really happens, it would be difficult for the protagonists to stand a chance of victory.
1. Kirinmaru
He is undoubtedly the strongest character of the entire anime, the beast king of the East, possessing strength similar to that of the Great Dog Demon. He possesses immense demonic powers that helped him confront Toga earlier and destroy the Grim Comet’s remains. Kirinmaru had been sleeping for ages with the Four Perils, his top subordinates, his elder sister, Zero handling his whereabouts but was recently woken up for killing the children of Sesshomaru and Inuyasha.
Before the destruction of the Shikon Jewel, it was forecasted that Kirinmaru’s downfall would be caused by someone who is neither human nor a demon, which led him to go after Inuyasha, Kagome, and Moroha, who was saved because of Sesshomaru trapping them in Toga’s graveyard.
