After a thrilling fifth season, Prison Break is preparing for its upcoming sixth season which will be released very soon. According to reports, the finale of the fifth season was pretty unexpected with plot twists that no one saw coming, and fans were not satisfied with five seasons, so, FOX renewed the series for a sixth season. The series has been a fan-favorite ever since its release and FOX’s decision of renewing the show isn’t surprising. According to the official statement from FOX, the official team is preparing Prison Break’s “new iteration.” The president, Michael Thorn said the Season of Prison Break is in its early stages of development but, they were extremely excited about the project.
Back in 2016, Sarah Wayne Callies said that the initial plan was to create 9 episodes and then wrapping it which she was fine with, however, Wentworth Miller said to DigitalSpy that there was still more for the show and a better story which would keep fans engaged would keep the show rolling eventually, so they were focussing more on the plot.
Miller also said that currently, their focus would creating a storyline revolving around the new generation. The official plot of the upcoming sixth season is yet to be revealed; however, according to Scheuring, the plot could move back to the beginning of the series and fans might get some serious plot twists.

We will be seeing flashbacks in Prison Break season 6 as it will be like it’s happening, all over again. The show creator, Paul Scheuring, said that the characters will be back to when it all began.

Paul Scheuring also revealed to the fans that he had completed the script for the first episode of Prison Break season 6, and that was a while back.
