Ford’s Super Duty is a monster of a car, and it is equipped with off-road upgrades paired with the new 7.3-liter V8. This car takes the brand new F-250, and F-350 gives it 2-inch ground clearance, 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac tires, a special rock-crawling drive mode, and lastly Ford’s new Trail Control off-road cruise control technology. The point here was to build an off-road monster that can beat the Ram Power Wagon with better towing as well as payload ratings.
This will have a 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac tires which Ford claims are the largest tires offered on a heavy-duty production truck which is mounted on matte black 18-inch wheels. All these things provide a total of 10.8 inches of ground clearance, according to Ford and they also said that it could wade through up to 33 inches of water. The lower profile running board and skid plate protect the Tremor when it encounters something harder than water.
This also has 1.7-inch twin-tube dampers and progressive-rate springs with locking rear and limited-slip front differentials. According to the company, the front differential can sense when one of the wheels is losing traction and will use the brake to shunt power to other wheels automatically. Just like other Super Duty models, this truck gets a Trail Control system which was previously seen in F-150 Raptor and Ranger. This is off-road cruise control which holds a set speed on rough terrain. Moreover, it will have multiple driving modes, including a rock-crawling mode.
This package adds more amazing things to the existing Duty trim levels which give the buyer more diverse options. Tremor will be available for F-250 and F-350 XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum models. This package wi be available with a 7.3-liter gasoline V8 or 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbodiesel V8. But this is available with four-wheel drive, the four-door SuperCrew cab, and a single rear axle. This Tremor package will be available when the 2020 Ford F-Series Super Duty launches later this year.
