Where Was ‘Last Man Standing’ Filmed? All You Need To Know

Last Man Standing is a sitcom created by Jack Burditt for the ABC Network initially, after which it was moved to Fox from its seventh season. The story of Last Man Standing revolves around the Baxters, with Mike Baxters (played by Tim Allen) as the husband of Vanessa, and father of his three daughters – Christin, Mandy, and Eve. Mike works as a marketing director for an outdoor sporting goods store chain. As part of his job, Mike has to travel long distances in his pickup truck. His home life is filled with his wife, daughters, and a grandson, but he soon has to welcome young men who marry or date his daughters.

Last Man Standing is filmed in front of a live audience in a studio. The house is, of course, part of a studio as well. The indoor locations on the show are mostly filmed on Stage 9 at the CBS Studio Center in Los Angeles. Baxter’s house is located at 611 Lorraine Boulevard in Windsor Square.

The show originally ran from 2011 to 2017 and entered syndication in 2015. Despite getting the second-highest ratings on ABC, the network revealed in May 2017 that it would not renew the Last Man Standing for a seventh season. The show, however, was picked up by the Fox Broadcasting Company a year later for the seventh season, which premiered on September 28, 2018. The show further received a renewal for an eighth season on April 18, 2019. The latest season premiered on January 2, 2020.

The eighth season of the show consist of 22 episodes. The kicked off with three weeks of back-to-back originals on January 2. One episode per week will start broadcasting from January 23.

Last Man is jointly produced by 21 Laps-Adelstein Productions, NestEgg Productions, Fox Entertainment, and 20th Century Fox Television.
