Although the Avengers have been taking the world by storm for over a decade, breaking all the records, it clearly doesn’t signify that they are the only team of superheroes being known to us. The iconic team of Justice League has been existing far before Avengers came into the picture and consists of some of the greatest heroes of all time. From Aquaman to Superman, Justice League indeed has stories showing the great highlights of the spectacular world of DC superheroes. Here is a list of the top ten most powerful members of the Justice League, ranked in order from the worst to the best.
Zatanna is a gifted magician just like her father and is one of the greatest mystics of all time within the DC universe. Although her powers were quite limited during her early adventures, like exercising control on earthy elements like fire, water, air and earth, they have grown into being able to control all forms of energy and implore magical constructs and apparitions. She can cast spells even when bound and gagged, can do telepathy, teleport herself, fly in the air, control dimensional travel and can heal herself quickly. Her powers are still not completely developed and can continue to grow over time making her more powerful than she is for the time being.
Billy Batson or Shazam has the strength of Hercules, the speed of Mercury, the stamina of Atlas, the Power of Zeus, the courage of Achilles and the wisdom of Solomon— making him one of the most dominant superbeings on the planet. With. Because of his six superpowers, he is very intelligent, intuitive, quick, has near limitless strength, durability and can work without taking rest for a long period of time. Although he is quite invulnerable in his powered form, with strength far more than Superman himself, he is vulnerable to lightning and high-powered magic which can make him weak.
At this point, it is hard to tell if Batman is even a human. Whatever be the powers of other members of the Justice League, if Batman is given a chance to plan things, he would be able to defeat each and every one of them. One of the most powerful non-metahumans alive, Batman can charge Grundy just with one arm, is capable of taking punches from Darkseid which is hard even for Superman and can outrun the Omega Beams (something that can chase Flash). However, his true power is his intelligence, out-witting anyone with his tactics and is strongest during hand-to-hand combat. However, if we talk about real superpowers, he hardly has any owing to which he has landed at this spot.
Although he has usually been the subject of jokes, Aquaman is, in reality, very powerful. He possesses exceptional superhuman strength, especially when he is under the water, is bullet-proof, super-fast and has high durability. His trident is powerful enough to easily pierce the nearly indestructible skin of Superman and is capable of combating with both Wonder Woman and Superman. Since his territory is more than half of the surface of Earth, he can be considered as one of the most capable beings in the world. He can even communicate using telepathy with the ocean creatures. One of the few things that can be used for his disadvantage is his incapability to retain his power for long on the land.
6. Green Lantern (Hal Jordan)
Hal Jordan is the founder of the Justice League and the most strong and competent members of the universe’s elite peace-keeping force, Green Lantern Corps. He has even made his power ring with the help of his own willpower, making him one of the most significant superheroes in the world. Not to mention how he forged his own ring, which is indeed crazy since a ring cannot kill its own user (he came back to life of course since he can’t die). Hal Jordan is so powerful that he has to work on pinning down his powers in order to prevent collateral damage. Although Green Lanterns are usually very fast, Hal is capable enough to break through speedforce barrier and out-fly the Omega Beams. If we take into account his time as Parallax, he could have destroyed and recreated the universe completely on his own.
5. The Flash
The man who can travel at the speed of light, The Flash can not only run great distances but can also slow down or stop time and even rewind the already happened events, using Speed Force. He has superhuman strength and great durability and even can regenerate his injured tissues at high speed. Not only physically, his powers even let his mind work faster than anyone else enabling him to get the solution of any problem instantly. He is capable of generating lightning while travelling and can use it to attack the opponent. The Flash can also vibrate his molecules through solids and phase through them. However, he cannot travel very fast in cold environment.
4. Wonder Woman
Although Batman is capable of beating any member of the Justice League using their weaknesses, he himself has stated that Wonder Woman has no limitation at all and it would be the toughest to bring her down. She has been blessed with super-strength, superhuman durability and is immune to most magic forms. She can be as good as Superman in a combat strength-wise and can jump high up in the sky. A demi-god, Wonder Woman is a trained warrior and can master any combat style and weapon, making her one of the best fighters in the world. Her two major weapons— The Sword of Athena and the Golden Lasso makes her even more unbeatable. The daughter of Zeus, she even has the telepathic ability.
3. Martian Manhunter
One of the original members of the Justice League, Martian Manhunter was almost equivalent to Superman if power levels are considered. He is capable of reading the minds of other people, can shape-shift taking the form of anyone or anything, and can change his appearance whenever he want. Martian Manhunter can fly in the air and is unaffected from any sort of harms. His power to turn invisible whenever required and phase through the walls along with the great strength and invulnerability is incredible. His telepathic abilities are the most powerful in the entire DC Universe, making him one of the most versatile super being in the history of Justice League. However, he does have a weakness and that is, his susceptibility to fire.
There is a reason why Superman is one of the most popular superheroes on Earth. Even Batman has admitted that he can be the biggest threat to mankind if he ever loses his control. Not only does he possess super-strength, invulnerability and super-speed, but also have the ability to fly and has x-ray and heat vision. He can even generate massive solar flares which the other Kryptonians cannot do as of now. He needs to hold back while punching as his punches are strong enough to kill an average human. Moreover, he is immune to most of the attacks and illnesses, except for a few involving Kryptonite or magic. He can travel as fast as The Flash if required and possesses great combating skills owing to his time in the Justice League.
1. Doctor Fate
The powers that Dr. Fate owns are limitless which makes him the most powerful member of the Justice League. He has even served as Nabu, the most powerful sorcerer irrespective of the dimension, using the Helmet of Fate. He has transported people to other dimensions existing within the multiverse, without any second thought, and is able to wipe away the entire armadas with just a gesture of his hand. An essentially omnipotent being, Doctor Fate can grant himself any power that he wants and has unlimited invulnerability, superhuman strength, flight. He can raise the dead, cast an unlimited number of spells and hypnotize his enemies. With all these abilities in possession, he is undoubtedly the most powerful member of the Justice League.
