This summer is going to extra-hot thanks to the Fire Force Anime rolling out next month, and fans cannot wait for it to finally premiere. For those of you who don’t know much about it, Fire Force is a manga by Atsushi Ohkubo, who is also the creator of Soul Eater. The manga is serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shounen Magazine and has consistently been one of the best mangas out there in the last few years.
Now, Crunchyroll has decided to simulcast the Fire Force Anime in July as it airs in Japan, and we’re very excited! No further details have been released on when the simulcast will begin, or at what time it’ll air but we expect to find out more details later this month.
For now, I’m just glad that one of my favorite mangas out there is getting an anime adaptation. Crunchyroll announced the Simulcast news on their Twitter with a new PV and it does look quite fiery!

Looking at the trailer, you can tell that the anime is going to be very interesting. We don’t know how many episodes the anime is listed for yet, but I think it’ll have 24 episodes in its first season. Of course, nothing is official yet.
Here’s the synopsis for the Fire Force anime according to Crunchyroll:
Tokyo is burning, and citizens are mysteriously suffering from spontaneous human combustion all throughout the city! Responsible for snuffing out this inferno is the Fire Force, and Shinra is ready to join their fight. Now, as part of Company 8, he’ll use his devil’s footprints to help keep the city from turning to ash! But his past and a burning secret behind the scenes could set everything ablaze.
