Monster Hunter: World Iceborne will bring the story of the game to its end at the same time this will also be its final expansion. This was confirmed by Capcom in an interview with the GI. In that interview, Tmthe producer Ryozo Tsujimoto said: “Iceborne basically completes World so that it will be the last expansion,” Monster Hunter World has been an enormous success, and it is the first game that is on PC.
Even though this will be the last expansion to the game, there will be more stuff that the fast can look forward to after launch. Tsujimoto said, “We’re planning a lot of the updates for the future.” The game will get a lot of updates and events, most notable crossovers with other series, including Street Fighter and The Witcher. Tsujimoto and director Daisuke Ichihara said the expansion would be split 50% on the old continent and 50% will be on the new continent.
Moreover, Palicos will get new abilities like handy resurrection skill, and the new Master rank appears to be G rank from the older games. PS4 players have already taken part in the beta before its impending launch, but the PC users have to wait longer for it. 2019’s winter is the company’s PC update target, but there is no specific date for it, but the gap at least won’t be as big as the one for Monster Hunter: World.
Moreover, in the interview, Ichihara and Tsujimoto said that they were surprised that Monster Hunter: World is the best-selling game in Capcom’s history. Though the duo doesn’t confirm it, it is easy to speculate that the team at Capcom is in the early stages of some sort of follow up to World because of its success. Monster Hunter: World Iceborne is an expansion that everyone is looking forward to. Monster Hunter: World Iceborne will be releasing on PS4 on 6 September 2019.
