Angry Birds 2 has been one of the most anticipated animated movies, and lots of fans are looking forward to this movie finally coming out. We certainly are as well, and we were thrilled to know that a new clip for the movie was recently revealed by Sony Pictures and Rovio Entertainment.
As you may know, Angry Birds Movie 2 is the sequel to the first one and the stories are indeed connected, but there’s a big surprise in there which, after watching the new clip, has shocked us and will likely shock you as well. The new clip featured Red and Leonard and they were on a mission to get a key card from a security guard on Eagle Island.

The Angry Birds Movie 2: Who Will Return?
The cast for the movie looks immense for now. We have Jason Sudeikis as Red, Josh Gad as Chuck, Bill Hader as Leonard, king of the pigs, Danny McBride as Bomb, and Peter Dinklage as the Mighty Eagle. Added to this is a huge list of actors and comedians and that includes Leslie Jones, Rachel Bloom, Sterling K. Brown, Eugenio Derbez, Zach Woods, Awkwafina, Lil Rel Howery, Dove Cameron, Beck Bennett, and Brooklynn Prince.
The Angry Birds Movie came out back in May 2016 and opened at the #1 spot in 50 countries. On its way, it went on to become the second-highest-grossing video game adaptation ever, and in doing so, it managed to rack up a total of $352 million at the box office.
The Angry Birds Movie 2 is going to have quite a task at its hands if it plans on surpassing that, but with Thurop Van Orman at the helm of direction, and John Rice co-directing it, we think it might just be possible. John Cohen is the producer for the movie and Mary Ellen Bauder Andrews is co-producing.
The Angry Birds Movie 2 comes out in August 2019.
