Shenmue III is an adventure, open-world game released on the PS4 and PC in November of 2019. Ys Net made this sequel for the game with the Unreal Engine, and it turned out to be a great look back to the classic Shenmue titles. It has remained popular over the last year despite the mixed reviews concerning the outdated look of the game. That martial art game has a new development now.
It was announced by the press release on the official Shenmue website that the game will be available on Steam starting from November 16, 2020. The developers are hoping that they can add more people to their fanbase by introducing the new features through Steam. These features will directly come to the backers that contributed to the survey to add the game to steam back in 2019. This game was available for the gamers to enjoy, but the Developers are adding the game on Steam to introduce the exclusive add-ons and “Downloads and Download Codes.”
In Shenmue games, you control the martial artist Ryo Hazuki moving around in the open-world of Gulin, China, searching for clues and fighting obstacles in search of his father. They are inspired by Sega Games, where you learn to use better moves as the game progresses. There are minigames to earn money through gambling and fishing. When Shenmue III came out, it was mostly based on its predecessors. The stamina meter was introduced in the new game. As the player explores, the HP reduces, and he loses the ability to sprint. Activities like sleeping or eating can replenish the stamina.
The original Shenmue game designed by Yu Suzuki was released under the Sega name. It was one of the most costly games of that time that carried an unprecedented level of detail at that time of 1999. Suzuki left Sega to focus on Ys Net in 2011 and decided to make the third game with crowdfunding. He raised a lot of money for the game, which led to the new and improved game releasing in 2019.
