Just in! The developer of League of Legends has just confirmed that Teamfight Tactics, launches into open beta tomorrow, June 26. As the game entered closed testing via League of Legends’ Public Beta Environment (PBE), Riot had already announced Teamfight Tactics. The Beta Environment news hit us a week later, we were only uncertain about its update.
The good news is that the open beta will release tomorrow morning in NA, and will be available in EUW and EUNE, by the afternoon. The other rollouts will be completed and announced by Friday. The other news is that Teamfight Tactics will be available for free to all players. This includes all players, whether playing League of Legends for years or the brand new players of the game.
Those in EUW, EUNE, and other regions have to wait few days unfortunately in order to get access to the new mode. Riot in an official statement has said that tomorrow’s Beta release is the start of a “multi-regional launch” which will be rolling all through the week.
Additionally, players will get their hands on the Beta mode for the first time in history. Riot is so excited and amped about the mode. There is going to be a ranked system that’s will be introduced with League of Legends patch 9.14. We’ve also heard rumors of new skins, icons, and missions that will gradually be added to the game. The Beta mode will make a launch with 50 champions. This may be rotated in and out over time.
What remains to be seen is whether Riot or Valve will come out on top. The competition is tougher than ever before as the Dota Underlords player count topped 200,000 concurrences in its first weekend. Fingers crossed!
