According to Ruby Harbin, her father received a Stage 4 lung cancer diagnosis in November and passed away peacefully while sleeping.
Many TV viewers are familiar with Boen from his role as the Rev. Pastor Lloyd Meechum played the Harper family in the sitcom Mama’s Family in the 1980s. Both the broadcast and international editions of the show featured his character in a few of the most well-known episodes. The Golden Girls, The Golden Palace, The Wonder Years, Boy Meets World, Seinfeld, and Three’s Company episodes all featured him as a clergyman.
