Your favorite TV show Dance Moms is returning for Season 8 in 2019, as confirmed by host Abby Lee Miller. Dance Moms hasn’t had an easy journey post Season 7, and the show has been off the air since a couple of years. In December 2018, Abby confirmed that she was going to be in Season 8 of Dance Moms. She stated that it was incredible that she was going to be in another Season. Fans like me can’t wait to know everything about the same. Abby Lee Miller, the dance instructor, served a year in prison for bankruptcy fraud from July 2017 to March 2018. After her release, she underwent emergency spinal surgery and was diagnosed with cancer. As of now, she’s getting a physical therapy three times a week. Abby stated that post-prison life, she was ready to be in the swing of things and start her life all over again and now she can’t even walk. So you will see her on a wheelchair for Season 8. Dance Moms is shooting currently.
Season 8 will be back on small screen on June 4, airing on Lifetime. The cast and crew started filming for Season 8 from January 2019. Abby shared a behind-the-scenes look at the studio with fans, apart from the critical information. With Season 8, it’s been shot at Pittsburg instead of L.A. Seasons 1 through 4 were filmed in Abby’s original Pittsburgh studio. Season 5 onwards, Abby relocated to Los Angeles.
Gianna Martello will join Abby as a dance instructor for Season 8 of Dance Moms. But Maddie Ziegler, Chloe Lukasiak, or Nia Sioux won’t be returning to Season 8. Ex- ALDC dancer JoJo Siwa is rumored to join Abby for Season 8.
