What is Trinkets Season 2 Plot?
The official synopsis of the series, as revealed by Netflix, is as under-
“A grieving teen finds an unexpected connection with two classmates at her new high school after they all land in the same Shoplifters Anonymous group.”
The show introduces us to three teenage girls- Elodie, Moe, and Tabitha. All of them are best friends and live in the city of Portland, Oregon. They meet with each other for the first time at the Shoplifters Anonymous meeting. They all share the same disgusting attribute- they all are victims of Kleptomania, a psychological disorder that compels people to harbor an irresistible urge to steal.
The series records the ups and downs of three teens, along with their traumas, insecurities, and challenges. Elodie is a new girl in town but is weirdly introvert. She tries to cope with the recent death of her mother. Moe reminds us of punk-inspired Faith from Buffy, but her father never features in the picture. Again, Tabitha is from a well-to-do family and has a popular Boyfriend. But her parents are in an unhappy marriage—even her boyfriend resorts to emotional abuse and physical violence frustrating her existence.

When the three teens faced each other for the first time, they shared a warring relationship with each other. From warring, their outlook turned to enmity. Still, surprisingly from enmity, they developed a close bond with each other as shared a common problem of being kleptomaniac and also the mutual feeling of being outsiders.
The trio doesn’t shoplift and steals as they are needy or lack the necessities of life. They resort to their raw kleptomaniac impulse to escape from their frustrations in personal life. The reality remains that they are angry and disturbed from within, and their sinful actions are just the outer manifestations of their inner rebellious spirit.
The series is admirable due to the deep-rooted friendship among the teen girls who stand by each other, nevertheless of circumstances. In a nutshell, Trinkets is a fun and light binge-watch for adults. The content is crisp, and the whole season ends in a span of five hours, comprising 30 minutes of bite-sized episodes.
