Harry Potter series is one of the world-renowned series of the new era. The series has ended with the last movie being Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 (2011). Since then a spin-off series has also been launched known as ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ which is a story prior to that of Harry Potter’s. There have also been several official plays of the series.
I’ll be discussing Harry Potter and The Cursed Child movie update and all the important details regarding the series. Also, spoilers are also part of this post, this is a quick spoiler warning for all of you who don’t like spoiler content. Without delaying the post any more let us begin discussing the topic.
Harry Potter and The Cursed Child Movie update 2020
Harry Potter and The Cursed Child movie update is expected to be sometime in late 2020. There is no official announcement of the movie yet but there have been strong rumors and hints that there will be a movie of Harry Potter and the old cast will also be making a return in this one. This is the main reason why all the fans of this series are just going crazy after hearing the news.
Unfortunately, amid Coronavirus outbreak there could be serious changes in the plans because of the third installment of the movie, Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them has also been seemingly delayed due to it as well. So, there is a big question mark over the release of this new Harry Potter movie. The writer J. K. Rowling has hinted about this movie in a tweet.

This has literally sent the fans of the movie berserk and there are other sources reporting that the movie is going to be made based on the story of a play known as ‘Harry Potter and The Cursed Child’. There is a reason for the fans to be super excited about the project. Perhaps the Coronavirus could be a big blocking stone in the pursuit of making this movie as everything and everywhere people are battling for their lives.
If Coronavirus doesn’t go away by Almighty’s will then I’m afraid this movie just won’t be coming out anytime soon or even there is a serious possibility that the plans of making the movie will be dropped altogether. Let us hope for the sake of Harry Potter fans that doesn’t turn out to be the case.
Harry Potter and The Cursed Child Movie Plot
The story of this upcoming movie will show us a grown-up Harry Potter as the story takes place 19 years ahead of time from the last Harry Potter movie. Harry Potter now is an employee of the Ministry of Darkness. He works tirelessly hard for the community, he also is a husband and a father now. Harry Potter and his wife have now three kids all of whom go to school. Harry Potter has his son Albus who is his youngest one. Albus thinks too much about his future and his family’s legacy and how he can carry forward this legacy of Harry Potter.
There will be numerous new truths that both Albus Potter and Harry Potter’s father-son duo will be tested a lot in this story. They’ll be confronting news things that we have never seen before. As J. K. Rowling said in her tweet ‘Darkness Comes From Unexpected Places’. There will thus be certainly some new dark elements emerging in the new movie. There is bound to be an all-new antagonist of the story. The reigns of power and protagonist will slowly be transferred to the children of Harry Potter and it seems that this is going to start a whole new era of Harry Potter. It is magnificent for the series because now Harry Potter has both prequel and sequel series, fans of the series show feel very happy.
