Longshot is an American romantic comedy film directed by Jonathan Levine and produced by Seth Rogen James Weaver, Beth Kono, Evan Goldberg, and Charlize Theron. It tells the story of unemployed artist Fred Flarsky, he has had a rough past, haunted by bad decisions, misfortune and self- destructive ways, he tries to court his former babysitter and childhood love, a woman who happens to be the most powerful on earth and one way out of his league.
On February 2017, the project was titled Flarsky and was announced with Seth Rogen and Charlize Thereon with Jonathan Levine directing. On October 2017 O’Shea Jackson was cast. On November 2017, June Diane Raphael, Ravi Patel, Andy Serkis, Alexander Skarsgard, and Randall Park joined the cast in Montreal where the filming was taking place. Some scenes were shot in Montreal, Canada, other scenes were shot in Colombia at the end of January 2018.
On January 2019, it was announced that the film would have been retitled Long Shot. The movie had its world premiere on March 9, 2019, but had itspushed all the way to May 3, 2019
