League of Legends is getting a new game mode, which is called Teamfight Tactics. The new game is expected to be released on June 25. There are also rumors that a ranked mode will also be coming out. It might be released a few days after the Teamfight Tactics mode.
Ranking in Teamfight Tactics is going to be akin to how it works with Summoner’s Rift. It will include tiers and divisions. In Teamfight Tactics, players will be able to queue for ranked. The ranking will depend on how many friends you play with. If you queue with four friends, then you will only be able to reach the Gold Division. However, if you play with two friends, then you can play together in Platinum and above.
The ability to queue with friends in a free for all game mode does seem quite problematic. However, the players are unfazed by it, and it won’t stop the players from win trading. According to reports, the TFT team will be monitoring people who might be abusing players. SapMagic said, “We also have the ability to tweak this if we see widespread issues with the approach.”
When you win or lose a game, you will be awarded league points. It will be based on your skill as well as your opponents’ skills. If your skill is higher than your opponents, then you will get a small number of LP. If your skill is lower and your opponent’s skill is higher than you, then you will earn plenty of LP.
