Vinland Saga is going to be out soon, and the fans can’t wait. There is a lot of hype around the anime, and it will be interesting to see whether it can do justice to the manga. The anime is set to be released on July 7, 2019, at 24:10 on the NHK General channel. The anime will exclusively stream on Amazon Prime Video both in Japan and overseas. The show will have 24 episodes.

The anime is being directed by Shūhei Yabuta (Inuyashiki Last Hero director, Attack on Titan 3D director) at Wit Studio (Attack on Titan, Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress, The Ancient Magus’ Bride). The scripts of the series will be supervised by Hiroshi Seko (Banana Fish, Ajin: Demi-Human). Hiroshi will be joined by Kenta Ihara (Saga of Tanya the Evil) for writing the scripts. Takahiko Abiru (Hunter × Hunter animation director) is designing the characters.
Yutaka Yamada is composing the music (Tokyo Ghoul, Donten ni Warau Gaiden: Ketsubetsu, Yamainu no Chikai). Ken Hashimoto is the color key artist. Yūsuke Takeda is directing the art at Bamboo. Mayu Takehana is directing the CG, and Chiptune is a charge of 3D CGI.

The series is based on Thorfinn, who is the son of one of the most significant Viking warriors. But, his father is killed in a battle by Askeladd, who is a mercenary leader. He swears to have his revenge. Thorfinn joins Askeladd’s band to challenge him to a duel and ends up caught in the middle of a war for the crown of England.
