Colin Trevorrow announced donating his Star Wars 9 Residuals to Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice. Writing credits have been received by Trevorrow and Derek Connoly for the upcoming movie Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker. There were some differences in the ideas of Trevorrow and Lucasfilm; that is why J. J. Abrams was introduced with Chris Terrio to write the script again.

Being a writer of such a huge titled movie will bring a boost to Trevorrow’s Career and finances. However, he wants to pass his food fortune to the ones who need it. Trevorrow says,

“Through his films, George Lucas taught us about our connection to all living things. He taught us to take care of one another, and he set a powerful example himself. The Alexander Devine Hospice helps families in the most challenging of times. I can’t think of a more fitting way to honor George’s legacy.”

Alexander Devine Hospice has appreciated the kind gesture. Trevorrow mentions how he has been inspired by George Lucas, who helped the poor, and he wants to continue it.
The Children’s Hospice made a statement about the donation and said,

The Force is strong with us. We are blown away by this incredibly generous gesture and we are deeply thankful to Colin for thinking of us. This extraordinary donation, the equivalent of paying for a nurse for a year, will really help us to continue to do this and importantly reach out to even more families that need us. We know that there are at least 1,200 children across Berkshire and the surrounding counties that need our help. Our care is free of charge and we are reliant on donations and fundraising to run our vital service. We cannot thank Colin Trevorrow and his family enough for their amazing support and generosity.”

Lucas had vowed to donate a large part of the $4.05 billion that he got from the sale of Lucasfilm to education. He encourages education and is also making the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art. On the other hand, Trevorrow and Connolly are getting set for Jurassic 3, which will be released in 2021. Trevorrow has talked about Star Wars 9 a lot and also mentioned how Abram’s is of bringing back Emperor Palpatine was a great idea.
