The upcoming British movie called Downton Abbey is directed and written by the two fellows namely Julian Fellowes and directed by Michael Engler respectively. As most of you may know, Downton Abbey was a very famous Television serial that ran from 2010 to 2015, straight. The TV series was created by the same guy, Julian Fellowes. Some other details that emerge about this movie at this point are that Downton Abbey is produced by Julian Fellowes, Gareth Neame, and Liz Trubridge. Ben Smithard has provided the cinematography for Downton Abbey. The movie is distributed by Focus Features in the United Kingdom.

Obviously, Downton Abbey will first come out in the United Kingdom and later in the United States. The cast of the movie is a fantastic one from Michelle Dockery as Lady Mary Crawley, Laura Carmichael as Lady Edith Crawley, Joanne Froggatt as Anna Bates, Hugh Bonneville as Robert Crawley and Elizabeth McGovern as Cora Crawley. So it looks like that all of the original cast is coming back to the big screen. Also, the famous Maggie Smith is to be back as Violet Crawley, Matthew Goode as Henry Talbot. Except, unfortunately, Lily James won’t return. As Lady Rose MacClare.

As goes for the trailer of the movie, we do not have one yet. We were just shown a first footage release of sorts, and we are promised a full-fledged trailer soon. On July 13 of last year, Downton Abbey was confirmed officially. After the drama ended in 2015, all of us heard stories of how a spin-off could be done, but that didn’t happen of course. So then, the movie announced was made to us.

Downton Abbey releases on 13 September in the United Kingdom and will tell the story of Crawley family once again.
