Subaru met with Beatrice at the library like always she is carrying her precious black book. Subaru told her that she is stubborn and it’s going to be hard to take her out of the library. Beatrice asks Subaru that ”Getting me out, what are you talking about.”? Subaru replied that ”isn’t everything I do is written in that book.?” Beatrice opens the book quickly to see if Subaru is telling the truth. Subaru told her to stop reading the book when she is talking to him.
Subaru grabs the book and to his surprise, he finds out that the pages of the book are blank. Beatrice reveals that it was some time ago when the black book stopped showing her future. Many years have past when the book showed nothing about her future. She said to maintain and keep the library’s knowledge is what her contract demands. Subaru said that a library of knowledge and Beatrice said she enjoys storing up knowledge more than anything else. Subaru asks if she is a spirit contract to Echidna.

Subaru is surprised that nothing is written inside the book but she is still in a spirit contract. Beatrice replied that Echidna told her that one day a person will appear in the library. Her job was to wait for the day that she has been waiting for a long time. But the person never came and the black book did not reveal who it will be. Timepass and pass but now she doesn’t care if Subaru is that person or not. Beatrice opens her heart that she wants to be free from the contract and Subaru is the one who can take her life.
Subaru asks her if she wants to die and she replied that she just wants to be free from the contract that has bound her for eternity. Subaru yells at her that she must not joke about dying and she replied that she has been living here for 400 years and he knows nothing about her. She also told him she had the book with a hope that one day its last page will get filled. She feels betrayed that her heart is betrayed thinking that when someone opens the library door it will be that person.
She said she ends up realizing that nothing is written inside the book because they are the owner’s future ends. Subaru told her that she is wrong she must not jump into conclusion. Beatrice shed tears that Subaru was not there to save her for 400 years. Subaru said that he can do anything for her and she replied he must overwrite her contract. He must put her first and think about her if he can’t be that person, he can kill her.
A villain lady from the past appears and said that she can send both of them to meet the angels together. Subaru unleashes a shamac and makes smoke everywhere so that he can run away with Beatrice. The villain catches up with them in the forest with the help of another villain who buys her time, Beatrice got taken down and she uses her spirit to send Subaru to safety. Subaru is stabbed on his left eye he is with his other friend trying to figure out what he will do next.
