Robert Downey Jr’s Doctor Dolittle Reboot Trailer And update Revealed

The first trailer of Dolittle recently has dropped and it was pretty good we got to see many of the companions that will be with Doctor Dolittle’s journey. The poster of the movie is pretty good in which we see Robert Downey Jr surrounded by his furry friends, including a fox, polar bear, parrot, gorilla, ostrich, giraffe, and more. This is a reboot of the franchise that is based on a decades-old story, serving as the first-ever Dolittle filmed released by Universal. All previous films had been developed by 20th Century Fox.

Doctor Dolittle Trailer Details

Recently a trailer dropped for the movie in which we saw our protagonist going on a voyage across the sea. They then encounter a villainous character which is played by Antonio Banderas and nd see a tiger attacking Robert Downey Jr. Moreover, there we get to see a fight between a tiger and a gorilla who trying to save him (Doctor Dolittle).

The official synopsis by the Universal Studios reads:

Robert Downey Jr. electrifies one of literature’s most enduring characters in a vivid reimagining of the classic tale of the man who could talk to animals: Dolittle. After losing his wife seven years earlier, the eccentric Dr. John Dolittle (Downey), famed doctor and veterinarian of Queen Victoria’s England, hermits himself away behind the high walls of Dolittle Manor with only his menagerie of exotic animals for company,” the studio’s description reads. “But when the young queen (Jessie Buckley, Wild Rose) falls gravely ill, a reluctant Dolittle is forced to set sail on an epic adventure to a mythical island in search of a cure, regaining his wit and courage as he crosses old adversaries and discovers wondrous creatures.”

As for the cast it possesses Downey, Jessie Buckley, Harry Collett, Tom Holland (Dog), Rami Malek (Gorilla), Octavia Spencer (Duck), Kumail Nanjiani (Ostrich), John Cena (Polar Bear), and Emma Thompson (Parrot). Other stars include Antonio Banderas, Michael Sheen, and Jim Broadbent. The movie is been directed by Stephen Gaghan from a script he co-wrote with Thomas Shepherd. Susan Downey produced the film under her Team Downey banner with Jeff Kirschenbaum and Joe Roth. As for the update, Dolittle is set for release on 17 January 2020.
