BTS will be performing “Black Swan,” which is the single pre-release track from the awaited upcoming album Map of the Soul: 7 on the American show The Late Late Show With James Corden on January 28. The septet has made appearances on the show twice in the past.

While the successor to Map of the Soul: Persona will be releasing on February 21, 2020, BTS’ agency Big Hit Entertainment has an entire plan to release content and tidbits from the album as we head towards the update. It was Suga’s Interlude: Shadow before, which was presented as the “comeback trailer” for 7.

With the release of Black Swan, BTS collaborated with MN Dance Company for a beautiful art film concept as part of their Connect, BTS project. The song talks about how the members of the boy band view themselves, while also addressing the fears that hold them back and how they use these fears to elevate themselves.

After the release of the song, Big Hit Entertainment announced that the septet would head to America to perform the song on The Late Late Show With James Cordon on January 28, 2020.

BTS first made their appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden in November of 2017, where they performed their song DNA and participated in the show’s popular game segment “Flinch.” The boy band returned a year later to perform Fake Love on the show.

BTS’ fourth Korean studio album Map of the Soul: 7 will release on February 21. Shadow: Interlude and Black Swan are two tracks that have already been unveiled from the album. After the album’s release, the official music video of the title track will release on February 28.

According to the “comeback map” released for 7, the “Phase 01” is done with, and now we should look forward to more Connect, BTS art projects, and another “comeback trailer” release on February 3, titled “Ego.”
