The upcoming sequel will be extremely exciting, and the storyline is teased to be better than the previous installment. The Last of Us Part II is set in a post-apocalyptic US five years after the events took place in the finale of part I, and players will play the character of a 19-year old Ellie, and the story will follow her struggle against a mysterious cult which appears to be bad news. According to a recently leaked rumor, Ellie’s love interest Dina might have been killed by this mysterious cult and Ellie is out for vengeance. Apparently, it seems that Dina’s death took a toll on Ellie mentally, and that’s what made Ellie take such drastic violent measures while dealing with the enemies.
After a huge delay for we have final updates regarding the release date of Last of Us 2. Originally the official release date for the game was set for February 22, 2020, this news was updated by developer Naughty Dog at the end of 2019, combined with a story trailer and our first opportunity to go hands-on with The Last of Us’ hotly anticipated continuation.
Later the company declared a deferred Last of Us Part 2 release date to May 29, 2020, with Neil Druckmann saying “We understood more essentially updates are needed more time to bring the whole game up to a degree of clean we would call Naughty Dog quality.” And ongoing reports have claimed that The Last of Us Part 2 prompted continued mash at Naughty Dog as opposed to reducing improvement crunch.
