Game of Thrones Spin-off Prequel update, Cast, Rumors And Updates

As Game of Thrones Season 8 nears its end, the curtain rises on the next big ASOIAF project from HBO. As some of you may know already, Game of Thrones is getting a spin-off very soon, and Martin had told us already that there will be as many as five, or maybe even more in the future. Knowing how successful Game of Thrones has been, we know that HBO won’t be wasting any time on a sequel or a prequel to the show, and we have some interesting bits of information for you on the first one.
Before we begin, please note this post may contain official spoilers from Game of Thrones, and the spin-offs of the show. If being spoiled is not for you, I suggest that you stop reading the post here. However, if spoilers don’t bother you, we can get started. Also, note that we did not create the spoilers or leaked them. They’re available all over the internet.

So, the first show that we’re getting is going to be based on The Long Night. When Game of Thrones began, Old Nan told us that thousands of years ago, there came a night that lasted for generations. Kings froze in their castles and women killed their children to relieve them of the pain. In that night, the White Walkers came for the first time. It seems that this is the premise of the first Game of Thrones spin-off show.

There is no official name for it yet, but everyone is just calling it ‘The Long Night’. We are told that George R. R. Martin is heavily involved in writing the script for the pilot which is already under production in Northern Ireland right now.

He also gave many ideas to Jane Goldman, the writer of the show, and she’s planning on using them all. Josh Whitehouse is playing the protagonist Brandon Stark. You know him as Brandon the Builder from the books. Along with him, Miranda Richardson is playing his overprotective mother Mary. Naomi Watts is playing Lady Blackwood, and this will be a very meaty role.

This looks very exciting to me, and I think you’ll have the same opinion. Let’s hope that this show reaches the same heights as Game of Thrones.
