Director Sakuragi sends Goh and Satoshi on research to investigate the mysteries of Daimax in Galar. The two got separated in the Slumbering Weald and met a mysterious Pokemon. Satoshi along with Dande teams up and defeated the pokemon that was rampaging due to Daimax. Go went with Sonia trying to solve the legend of the hero they met with professor Magnolia who told the truth about Chairman Rose. At the lab, Rose was trying to revive the pokemon which once nearly wiped out Galar.
Goh and Sonia ended up being attacked by a mysterious group. They started to fight with the group and the find the statue of two humans and two Pokemon. While they are trying to figure out what it is the guy fighting with them told them to focus on him. He attacks Rabbifott with Dai Steel that put Rabbifoot to the ground. Rabbifoot fires back with Dai Knuckle that sent the guy’s pokemon flying. He then orders it to finish the fight with Kyodai Strench and Rabbifoot defeated him with Dai burn.

Previously on Pokemon 2019 Episode 44
Goh asks the guy if he still wants to fight but he runs away saying that they will regret it. The trio is excited that they have managed to win the Daimax battle for the first time without facing difficulties. Meanwhile, Satoshi travels on his dragon Kairyu pokemon saying that they have to meet with Goh in Lateral Town. On his way, he remembers all the words that chairman Rose has told him. Rose told Satoshi that he tried to use his power to do everything to build a marvelous view for a thousand years.
Back to Goh, he told Sonia that while he is in the forest he met the pokemon that looks the same as that on the statue. He reveals that he tried to catch it using the monster ball but it went through it. 4The fog got worse and he falls asleep when he wakes up it was gone and he asks if it is that why they call it the Slumbering Weald. While they are climbing their way to the statue they find a note.
Sonia read it and it says the one holding the sword is Zaician and the one with the shield is Zamazenta. Goh said now they know that the legendary hero wasn’t one person but two. Sonia said that they both had a pokemon with them. Goh adds that the black vortex that once covered the sky was a pokemon called Black Night and it nearly wiped out Galar. The two heroes and their partners Zacian and Zamazenta defeated the Black Night.
Dande encounters Mugendian that has been awakened inside Rose’s lab. Satoshi shows up after hearing an explosion when he was passing by. They both find out it was Rose doings since he wants to control Mugendian. Rose said that it is the pokemon of his dream and he wants to create Galar particles. Satoshi and Dande decide to take down Rose along with Mugendian.
