Obsidian recently posts on their forum a special thank you post which confirmed that DLC content for The Outer Worlds is coming in 2020. In that post, developers showed how grateful they to everyone for voting for The Outer Worlds at The Game Awards. It was quite a joy to read through and at the end of it, we got some great news at the end of it. The post reads, “The journey isn’t over yet, as we are excited to announce that we will be expanding the story through DLC next year!”
The Outer Worlds was a success for Obsidian and it was even admitted by 2k that the game lived up to their expectations, so it’s pretty obvious. There haven’t been any details on what the DLC will hold, will it have a new crewmember or it might have a new planet on which the new story will take place. Obsidian has a very amazing group of people and with the world, they have built it will be interesting to see what’s in store for us.
Obsidian is the same people that brought us the Legendary Fallout New Vegas which was received well by critics and the fans as well. It was a bugging game no doubt but it had a story and gameplay mechanics that made you forgive all of that. The information about the DLC hasn’t been revealed to us but whatever it is everyone is hyped to see what’s in a story for us.
The Outer Worlds is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Moreover, a Nintendo Switch version of the game is coming early next year. Furthermore, the game is included with Xbox Games Pass, it is worth your time and I highly suggest you trying out this excellent RPG.
