Project Blue Hook has been a major hit, and while the show was still airing its first season, the show was renewed for a second season. The announcement about the second season was made during the Television Critics Association winter press tour. The show has been renewed for ten episodes.
The series is based on top-secret investigations into Unidentified Flying Objects and other phenomena which is related to the same. The story covers the stuff that was researched by the United States Air Force in the 1950s and 60s.
Despite the early confirmation, there has been no news about theof the second season. The first season of the show was released on January 8, 2019. So, the earliest we can expect the show to be released is in 2020. There is a lot of time left still for the second season.
Sean Jablonski is the showrunner, executive producer and writer for the show. David O’Leary is the creator, writer and the executive producer of Project Blue Book. The series is being produced by A+E Studios along with Compari Entertainment. The first season of the show attracted a lot of audiences. Each episode averaged a total of 3.4 million viewers per episode.
Eli Lehrer, executive vice president and head of programming for history said, “We are believers in ‘Project Blue Book’, and so is our audience who has sparked a conversation about the hundreds of unsolved cases and our nation’s military response to UFOs that have remained relatively secret until now.”
