Netflix has continued to improve ever since it started. The streaming giant has continued to produce and give us a variety of content. One of their latest shows is When They See Us. It is an upcoming series which has been written and directed by Ava DuVernay. It will explore the racial tensions that exist in America.

The show will be released on Netflix on May 31, 2019. So, there isn’t much time remaining until the show finally airs. All four episodes of the show will be released at once. So, you don’t need to wait for the next episode for a week. You can finish it all in one go.

The show will have a similar theme to 13th, which was named after the 13th Amendment in the US Constitution. The series is a dramatization of the Central Park Five case which saw five teenagers of colors being falsely convicted of a rape they didn’t commit. When They See Us spans 25 years, starting in New York in 1989 when the teens were questioned about the crime and the subsequent trial.

The drama follows their journey from false incarceration to their exoneration in 2002 to the subsequent settlement in 2014. DuVernay co-wrote and directed the series, while Robert De Niro and Oprah Winfrey were among those serving as executive producers.
