Schitt’s Creek Renewed And To End After Season 6

It’s the end of an era, you guys! Schitt’s Creek is coming to an end after Season 6. Creators of the show Daniel and Eugene Levy recently in a message announced that Schitt’s Creek, the comedy will return in 2020 for a sixth and final season. Season 6 will consist of 14 episodes and will begin shooting in a couple of weeks. The creators Daniel and Eugene want to the end Schitt’s Creek on their terms and have left the following message for us:

People like me who’ve watched the show over the years continuously know Schitt’s Creek has grown into a successful heart-warming comedy. The cast of the show includes Dan and Eugene Levy, father and son respectively. The other cast members are Catherine O’Hara, Annie, Noah Reid, Emily Hampshire, and Chris Elliott.

Season 1 through 4 of Schitt’s Creek is available on Netflix. Season 5 of just ended its run on April 10 on Pop TV in the U.S. Some of the plot points such as Moira Rose’s mindblowing vocabulary or Alexis Davids need to be addressed in Season 6.

Deadline reported that Season 6 of Schitt’s Creek has been in production since a couple of weeks, but you should not expect it to air this year. Schitt’s Creek Season 6 will come out in 2020, is my guess. And when it does so, it will air on CBC in Canada and Pop TV stateside. It is produced by Not A Real Company Productions Inc., with the Levys, Andrew Barnsley, Fred Levy, David West Read and Ben Feigin acting as executive producers.

Schitt’s Creek is produced in association with CBC and Pop TV and distributed internationally by ITV Studios Global Entertainment.
