The BlizzCon 2019 was very eventful as World of Warcraft: Shadowlands. With a new expansion, World of Warcraft will undergo a big transformation. The fans are definitely excited to get their hands on the expansion.
So far a confirmed release date for the expansion hasn’t been announced. Game director Ion Hazzikostas has confirmed it would release in 2020. Most of the expansions are released around July and August and it is very likely that Shadowlands will arrive in the summer of 2020. It is available for preorder now.
The game takes place after the events of Battle for Azeroth. The players will head off to the land of the dead after Sylvanas destroys the Helm of Domination and sunders the barrier between Azeroth and The Shadowlands, WoW’s version of an afterlife. The players need to go deep into the Shadowlands in order to stop Sylvanas.
WoW: Shadowlands is going to introduce several new zones. The first of these zones is Bastion. It is the first zone that players will venture to. Bastion is the homeland of the Kyrian, the angelic progenitors of the Valkyr. One of the new features in Shadowlands are Covenants. Each zone is ruled by a specific faction and each one of them has a specific purpose. After assisting a faction, they will reward you with new gear and two special abilities.
Also, there is a major change involving the leveling. The character levels are now being condensed as well. The characters that are level 120 will now be level 50 and the new level cap will be 60 when the game launches next year. This is good news for the players as the leveling up was excruciatingly long in the World of Warcraft. Also, with each level that the players gain, it will guarantee new skills and abilities.
