James Wan is killing it with his horror-movie franchise such as The Conjuring. But now as a producer, he’s trying to do more. Llorona derives from Mexican folklore. It is directed by Michael Chaves. Mikki Daughtry and Tobias Iaconis have scripted the movie. The story is set in LA of the 1970s, where La Llorona is seen stalking the night and the children. Her horror is soon to hit Linda Cardellini, a social worker, and her children.
Linda, a troubled mother who is suspected of child endangerment, and her very own small kids are soon drawn into the fright of the supernatural creature, La Llorona. The only alternative to survive La Llorona’s wrath is a disillusioned priest. With his mysticism, he will try to keep the evil of La Llorona at bay. And there is no escape from the curse of La Llorona.
Warner Brothers in association with Newline Cinema released the first full trailer for director Michael Chaves’ scary, weeping woman tale, The Curse of La Llorona. Llorona drowned her children in a fits rage, and as a result, she turned into a wandering and a vengeful spirit.
La Llorona stars Jaynee-Lynne Kinchen, Roman Christou, Linda Cardellini, Patricia Velasquez, Sean Patrick Thomas, and Raymond Cruz. It is slated to hit the theaters on April 19th, 2019.
