Kota Factory is TVF’s black and white serial that owes credit to Saurabh Khanna. It talks about a lopsided representation of Kota coaching classes for the Indian Institute of Technology entrance examination. The following aims to explain how studying in Kota isn’t that perilous a task after all.
Kota Factory deals with the story of an Indian teenager who joins a coaching institute in Kota, that prepares students for the Indian Institute of Technology entrance examination of course. This student comes under immense pressure. But the journey has its ups and downs, both. Kota Factory has shown a colorful and wonderful hostel experience besides the tortuous studies.
So far we only have seen the first episode of Kota Factory which was released on the TVFPlay app and YouTube on Tuesday. Saurabh Khanna of Yeh Meri Family fame made comparisons to shows such as ‘Laakhon Mein Ek’ for his Kota Factory. I mean there are certain parallels but other than that, there’s nothing similar.
Kota is in Rajasthan, the coaching hub of IIT examinations. Khan’s who himself is a graduate of IIT and Film and Television Institute of India says that there’s nothing wrong in the ultra-competitive world of Kota. There’s an alternative side of the story too; there are studios kids and those who aren’t celebrated in the country.
TVF was also founded by IIT alumni Arunabh Kumar, Amit Golani, and Biswapati Sarkar. Episode 2 remains unannounced as of now. There’s no set update for the same. For now, TVF’s website only shows Season 1, Episode 1 on the watch list. More as we have it.
