The Lord of the Rings Hired J.A. Bayona For Its First Two Episodes

Amazon Studios acquired the rights back in 2017, and it was revealed that Amazon would produce at least five seasons of the show and Amazon has a lot of way of approaching the storyline, it will be interesting to see how they adapt Tolkien’s works.
The latest development is the hiring of J.A. Bayona to the team, and he will be directing the first two episodes of the series. The Spanish director is behind 2007’s horror flick, ‘The Orphanage,’ and his most recent project involved the fifth installment in the Jurassic Park series, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
In an interview, Bayona said that he is a big fan of Tolkien works. He feels that the Lord of the Rings is one of the most extraordinary and inspiring stories of all time and now that he will be working on the project, he is very happy to be on board with the amazing team.
He further adds that he is extremely excited to take the audience to the storyline and the Second age with a never-seen-before story. It is reported that Amazon is spending loads of money for this series, and it hopes to make it a huge hit.
