21 Bridges Trailer Revealed At Comic-Con And Boseman Plays The Role Of A Cop
During a Comic-Con panel, a new trailer for “21 Bridges,” starring Chadwick Boseman and J.K. Simmons was shown. This movie is produced by Joe and Anthony Russo of “Avengers: Endgame.” It stars Boseman, who plays the role of an NYPD detective named Andre Davis who finds himself in a city-wide manhunt after two cops are accused of committing of murders. Boseman’s character is the only one who can catch the killer and the reason for it is unknown.
He has a lot of history with the rest of the detective team and he has now the chance for redemption. To succeed in his task and also to fulfill his duties, Andre blocks every exit out of Manhattan in an order to trap the killers. In the trailer, we hear “Close the island,” he tells the two detectives. When the cops are confused, he clarifies: “Manhattan. The 21 bridges, shut ’em down. Three rivers, close ’em. Four tunnels, block ’em. There cannot be a version of this where these two aren’t found.”

There are many other well-known faces in the movie such as Taylor Kitsch and Sienna Miller will also star, in addition to Stephen James, Jamie Neumann, Keith David, and Gary Carr. Moreover, Boseman is an executive producer on the film alongside the Russos, Mike Larocca, Gigi Pritzker, and Logan Coles for STX films. Brian Kirk directed the actioner. The release date for the movie has been revealed and it will be releasing on 27th September 2019 in the US. Down below is official synopsis for the movie which reads:
“21 BRIDGES follows an embattled NYPD detective (Chadwick Boseman), who is thrust into a citywide manhunt for a pair of cop killers after uncovering a massive and unexpected conspiracy. As the night unfolds, lines become blurred on who he is pursuing, and who is in pursuit of him. When the search intensifies, extreme measures are taken to prevent the killers from escaping Manhattan as the authorities close all 21 BRIDGES to prevent any entry or exit from the iconic island.”
