As we all know, Robert would be playing the younger version of Bruce Wayne in the upcoming Batman movie, and the movie will be portraying a darker version of Batman, and now the co-writer teases that fans will get to see Batman’s soul as well. In a recent interview, Mattson Tomlin revealed that the director Matt Reeves would be handling ‘The Batman’ the same way he handled all of his movies, which is why the ‘point of emotion’ will remain intact.
He explained that judging from Matt’s previous works such as ‘Planet of the Apes,’ ‘Let Me In,’ or ‘Cloverfield,’ it can be easily understood that Matt has never been a guy of ‘high volume action,’ rather, he always comes from a ‘point of emotion.’ He added further that the upcoming Batman movie would explore all the past experiences of Bruce that will come into play once he takes the role of the superhero. According to him, in the movie, it will become apparent that whatever Batman does, has direct links to his previous traumatic experiences and all of his actions are actually a ‘reaction’ to that, and the film will take a ‘fun and surprising’ approach towards that.
In a different context, he revealed how the team’s primary goal was to execute the vision despite all the challenges amidst the pandemic. Currently, the production is stopped, however, it is expected to resume soon.
Directed by Matt Reeves, ‘The Batman’ is an upcoming superhero film based on the DC Comic’s character, Batman. According to the updates, the film began its principal photography in January 2020, however, it was stopped and expected to resume in September 2020.
The cast for the movie includes Robert Pattinson (Bruce Wayne / Batman), Zoë Kravitz (Selina Kyle / Catwoman), Paul Dano (Edward Nashton / Riddler), Jeffrey Wright (James Gordon), John Turturro (Carmine Falcone), Peter Sarsgaard (Gil Colson), Barry Keoghan (Stenely Merkel), Jayme Lawson (Bella Reál), Andy Serkis (Alfred Pennyworth), Colin Farrell (Oswald “Oz” Cobblepot / Penguin).
