Itaewon Class K-drama: Release Date, Streaming and Details

Itaewon Class is an upcoming South Korean drama that is going to premiere on January 31, 2020, on JTBC. It stars Park Seo Joon, Kim Da Mi, Yoo Jae Myung, and Kwon Nara. It is an adaptation of a webtoon of the same name by Kwang Jin, which started in December 2016. Kwang Jin himself will also serve as the writer for the drama, which is something we don’t get to see often.

Who is in ‘Itaewon Class’ Cast

Top actor Park Seo Joon is the male lead of the show. He has worked in popular Korean dramas like She Was Pretty (2015), Hwarang (2016), and most recently What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim (2018). He will play the role of Park Sae Roi, a middle school graduate, an ex-con who has lost everything. He wants to enter the street of Itaewon against and open a restaurant there.

This will be female lead Kim Da Mi’s first drama; she has worked in the movie The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion. She has received multiple awards for her performance, like the Blue Dragon Film Award for Best New Actress, and the Grand Bell Award for Best New Actress. She will play Jo Yi Seo, who is a famous social media influencer and helps Park Sae Roi with entering with their new business venture in Itaewon.

What Is Itaewon Class About?

The drama tells the story of young people who are brought to Itaewon, a neighborhood in South Korea which hosts many restaurants that serve food from all over the world. The story of the drama focuses on these young people who want to make their dreams come true in Itaewon by opening a street bar.

It is not that easy, as they have to fight against a mighty foe to make their dreams a reality.
