Doctor Strange 2 has been talked about a lot ever since Thanos did what he did at the end of Infinity War. Benedict Cumberbatch’s character ended up turning to dust, and for some people, the hopes of the sequel died with it. But, this is MCU and death means very little in it.
Characters don’t die often, and if they do, they’ll come back. So, expect Doctor Strange to return in Endgame, and of course, that would open up the possibility of Doctor Strange 2 once again. In this post, we’ll be discussing all that we know about Doctor Strange 2. So, let’s get started!
Before we begin, please note this post may contain official spoilers from the previous movie of the franchise. If being spoiled is not for you, I suggest that you stop reading the post here. However, if spoilers don’t bother you, we can get started. Also, note that we did not create the spoilers or leaked them. They’re available all over the internet.
So, are we getting Doctor Strange 2? The simple answer to that question would be, yes. Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige confirmed some time ago that a Doctor Strange sequel is happening. This happened during the promotion of Ant-Man and the Wasp.
Coming over to the release date, we don’t have one yet. The movie was originally speculated to premiere later this year, but that didn’t happen. Now, we know that it’ll likely end up premiering in 2020. From what we know, there are two release dates set by Disney for “Untitled Marvel Movie”: May 1 and November 6. It could come out on one of these dates.
