The NFL Commissioner, Roger Goodell had a meeting with Ezekiel Elliot to learn the full details of the incident, and in a statement, Ezekiel revealed that he made a poor decision, and he will work hard in the future to not get involved in situations like this. He said that he has worked extremely hard to live up to the standards and the expectations that everyone has from him, however, he made a poor decision this time.
He added that he would start working with all the resources that are available to him, and he is determined that he would avoid situations like this in the future. The consequences could’ve been worse as he could’ve been fined or suspended, however, Roger Goodell came to the conclusion that he didn’t violate the policy and Ezekiel managed to dodge a bullet this time.
