The official website of Doga Kobo’s original TV series, “Jellyfish Can’t Swim in the Night” (Yoru no Kurage wa Oyogenai), has just unveiled its third visual and video for the upcoming show. Set to air in 2024; this anime marks a special milestone as it will commemorate the 50th anniversary of the animation studio Doga Kobo.
The story will be set in Shibuya. With JELEE’s original work and the direction of Ryohei Takeshita (known for Eromanga Sensei), this series by Doga Kobo is set to leave audiences spellbound. The characters are designed by Popman3580, with Junichirō Taniguchi adapting their designs for animation. Yūki Yaku, the mind behind Bottom-tier Character Tomozaki, is both writing and overseeing the series scripts.
“I want to find what I like.” The story is described as: In the bustling town of Shibuya, where individuality flourishes, a girl roams the streets, feeling lost and unable to embrace her true self. However, a special encounter sparks a transformation within her. As a result, she delves into anonymous creative pursuits alongside other girls experiencing the joy of creation for the first time.
