The official website for Yugo Aosaki’s Undead Girl Murder Farce novel anime adaptation unveiled a promotional video and fresh key visual for its second part, “Diamond Sōdatsu-hen” (Struggle for the Diamond), on August 1, along with revealing additional cast members.
The next phase of the anime is set to commence from its fifth episode on August 2, following its debut on Fuji TV’s +Ultra block on July 5. Crunchyroll streams the anime globally, except in Asia, as it airs in Japan under the title Undead Murder Farce.

Undead Girl Murder Farce: Cast, Staff, Plot
Mamoru Hatakeyama will be directing the anime at Lapin Track. The series composition will be handled by Noboru Takagi. Based on the original character designs, Noriko Itou will oversee character design accompanied by Naho Kozono as a sub-character designer and chief animation director.
Music composition and sound directing will be handled by Yuma Yamaguchi and Kazuhiro Wakabayashi, respectively.

The newly announced cast includes Shin’ichirō Kamio voicing Reynold Stinghart, Sara Matsumoto voicing Fatima Double Darts, Hideaki Tezuka voicing Phileas Fogg, Hidenari Ugaki voicing Passepartout, Taiten Kusunoki voicing Lestrade, and Kousei Hirota voicing Ganimard.
The previously announced cast includes Tomoyo Kurosawa voicing Aya Rindo, Taku Yashiro voicing Tsugaru Shinuchi, Makoto Koichi voicing Shizuku Hasei, Sayumi Suzushiro voicing Annie Kerber, Shinichiro Miki voicing Sherlock Holmes and Masaki Aizawa voicing John H. Watson.
Additionally, Mamoru Miyano voices Arsene Lupin, Hiro Shimono voices Phantom, Wataru Yokojima voices James Moriarty, Tomokazu Sugita voices Aleister Crowley, Reina Kondo voices Carmilla, Itaru Yamamoto voices Victor and finally, Sōma Saitō voices Jack the Ripper.
The Plot
The story is set in the late 19th century, where we meet our strange, intriguing protagonist, Tsugaru Shinuchi. The catch? Tsugaru is not your normal detective. He’s half-demon and half-human, making him a strange but compelling character.
Along with his “loyal servant”, Shizuku Hasei, Tsugaru plans to travel across Europe to collect the remains of Aya Rindo, a young girl who was murdered by an unknown assailant. However, the only evidence they have is Aya’s disembodied head, which is weirdly alive.
As they travel through beautiful European landscapes, discovering dark secrets, Tsugaru and Shizuku are determined to solve the case behind Aya’s murder.
Undead Girl Murder Farce, with its Sherlock Holmes-inspired, take, introduces viewers to an extraordinary world where crime-solving takes an otherworldly twist. Far from a slapstick comedy, the anime’s first episode surprises us with thoughtfulness and well-choreographed action scenes.
