HBO Max is an upcoming streaming service that will be releasing in May of 2020. The service is backed by WarnerMedia. It will have the content from HBO, Warner Bros., TNT, TBS, TruTV, and many more. There were a lot of things revealed about HBO Max during an investor call. It will cost $14.99 which is one dollar less for the premium version of Netflix.
Chairman of WarnerMedia and Entertainment, Bob Greenblatt said in the earlier presentation that HBO Max will be filled with original content that includes what JJ Abrams is working on, as well as a Gremlins animated series selections from the Warner Bros. library, and more. It will have 10,000 hours of content and Greenblatt explained that they’ve removed what he considered “filler” so that users won’t have to spend so much time searching for something to watch.
This will have every episode of The Big Bang Theory, Friends, and 50 seasons of Sesame Street. But it doesn’t end there as Warner Bros. movies like Batman and Superman and Joker will be on HBO Max at launch. South Park’s over 300 episodes will come shortly after launch, as HBO Max dives into more adult animated series, this includes anime, as HBO Max is partnering with Crunchy Roll for curated lists.
HBO Max will have 31 original series in 2020 and by 2021 they will have 50. Moreover, Greg Berlanti will be developing two DC properties for HBO Max as well, Green Lantern and Strange Adventures. Some of the shows were revealed during the event which you are as follows,
